Between 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 24 and 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, significant Windows updates took place at 1701 W. Charleston.

Give yourself extra time the following day to let your computer power on and finish updates. Your computer must reboot to complete the updates.

You will not have the ability to snooze the reboot, but you will have a 2.5 hour countdown to wrap up your work before the machine automatically reboots. The reboot may take longer than usual - please plan accordingly.

You will see an Installation Progress prompt with a progress bar. Even if the progress bar appears stuck, the installation is continuing.
Your monitors may flicker intermittently during this process.
Do not turn off or unplug your computer during the installation process.
Installation times may vary depending on how many updates your system requires — thank you for your patience.

If you experience any issues with your computer after these updates take place, please restart your computer again before contacting the SOM Help Desk.
